with Cascade Coffee (our beans are perfect for it!)
An Espresso Martini is a modern classic cocktail that combines the rich, bold flavor of coffee with the smooth kick of vodka. It’s the perfect after-dinner drink when you want a little caffeine perk with your dessert, or simply to impress guests with a classy concoction. Look, we’re not trying to get you drunk — we’re a coffee company, after all — but if you’re already halfway there, a little boozy caffeine kick won’t hurt. In this Espresso Martini recipe, we’ll show you how to craft the perfect Espresso Martini at home, using Cascade Coffee beans for that ideal espresso shot. It’s easier than you might think!
What You’ll Need for This Espresso Martini Recipe
Here’s what you’ll need to make one fabulous Espresso Martini:
50 ml Vodka – pick your favourite brand.
35 ml Coffee Liqueur
30 ml Espresso – one shot of espresso, using Cascade Coffee beans for best results.
Ice – a handful of ice cubes for shaking.
A Cocktail Shaker – to mix and chill the drink.
(If you’re feeling fancy, have a couple of coffee beans on hand for garnish.)
Step 1: Shake It Up
Throw all the ingredients into your cocktail shaker. Put the top on tightly and get shaking – shake it hard! The ice will vigorously mix the vodka, coffee liqueur, and espresso while also chilling the mixture. You want to shake until the outside of the shaker feels very cold.
Tip: For an extra-frothy martini, try a two-part shake. First, dry shake the ingredients without ice (this helps build foam). Then add the ice and shake again — this second round is the wet shake that chills the drink. This double-shake method will give you a delightful creamy foam on top of your Espresso Martini.
Step 2: Pour and Enjoy
Now for the easy part – pouring and enjoying!
Once you’ve shaken the cocktail to perfection, strain it into a chilled martini glass. You should see a nice light-brown foam forming on top as it settles. If you’re feeling fancy, you can garnish the top by gently placing a few coffee beans on the foam.
That’s it! Take a moment to admire your creation, then sit back and enjoy. Savour the velvety blend of bold espresso and smooth spirits in each sip. This recipe is simple but yields a bar-quality cocktail, especially since you used great coffee. Cheers to making the perfect Espresso Martini at home!
